By integrating a locally run AI model into the seismic-based technologies of SAR today, we can detect and locate survivors in seconds at accuracy rates higher than anything available. This also eliminates the need to train technicians and keep them prepared at all times, which is very costly.
The Venture
Business Model
Hardware units will be sold individually with a yearly subscription model to generate recurring revenue.
Competition
The market is currently dominated by a single defence company. Alongside, all other companies’ products have the same specifications. A technician has to listen to the output signals of seismic sensors through headphones to detect anomalies. By integrating AI, we are the first to automate the detection and localisation processes.
Traction
We iterated through four prototypes, where we collected data and tested at two different training sites within the UK, at actual rubble piles. We achieved +90% in detecting victims. We are in contact with seven different UN-certified search-and-rescue NGOs where we validated the need and developed according to their feedback.
