Coblum
The Challenge
The Opportunity
The Venture
Business Model
Coblum will sell its CPR device and consumables through direct purchase or subscription covering consumables and maintenance.
It will first be available to community first responder programmes, before expanding to workplaces and public-access venues (gyms, shopping centres, transport hubs etc.), following a path similar to the widespread adoption of AEDs.
Competition
Public-access defibrillators (AEDs) make defibrillation widely available but leave the exhausting manual CPR to the bystander.
Existing automated CPR devices remain too complex for public use and are limited to trained professional teams.
Coblum is doing for CPR what AEDs did for defibrillation: bringing life-saving technology to a wider audience.
Traction
Coblum has been fortunate to receive support and recognition across its journey: selected for InnovationRCA, Discovery Spark, CPI HealthTech, CRL/Plus X, and Imperial’s Venture Catalyst Challenge accelerators, and pre-seed funding to push regulatory development.
We’re collaborating with NIHR in emergency medicine and supported by professionals across the industry.
