The Challenge

Our mission is to reduce missed diagnoses in patient care by improving physical examination training.

Physical examination is the foundation of diagnosis that every doctor must learn, yet opportunities to practise on real patients are limited. Existing simulators lack accessibility, realistic touch feedback, and performance data needed for effective learning.

Our system lets users physically touch a programmed digital patient, enabling repeated practice across diverse cases with realistic tactile feedback and data-driven performance insights. Delivered in a portable, affordable design, it makes high-quality diagnostic training accessible, measurable, and effective for every student and educator.

Current simulators either lack realism or remain inaccessible to most learners. EvoTouch bridges this gap by offering the core benefits of a high-fidelity, reactive robotic patient in a portable, affordable device. It’s versatility matches VR systems while adding the vital sense of touch for an overall more effective and scalable solution.

Traction

Developed at Imperial, EvoTouch has received MRC funding and institutional backing to finalise its MVP and spin-out. We have filed patent protection, engaged clinical educators in customer testing and pilot tests, and built early partnerships for scale. Strong validation from both clinicians and distributors underlines our commercial and educational potential.
